Too Much Fun!

November 2019

On the most gorgeous November Saturday in Naples, I joined almost 30 local artists to descend on the great lawn of the Naples Beach Hotel for the 3-hour Quick Draw event.

We painted and drew from 9 a.m. till noon, and then our art was auctioned by Mayor Bill Barnett, with all proceeds benefitting Legal Aid.

Here are some of the artists creating their work:

Hundreds of art lovers attended the event to watch the artists at work. They saw my canvas primed with cadmium red and later wondered at its transformation after I applied layers of hues of yellow, lavender, gray, black and of course, blue, with sponges, knives, brushes, and my favorite wallpaper scraper.

My painting is named Too Much Fun, and was bought by the lovely Gillian Campbell of Naples and Bermuda. Wonder which home it will hang in!

It was truly too much fun and I was thrilled to contribute to Legal Aid of Collier County, a private, non-profit law firm that provides free civil legal services to Collier County residents who face matters of life-changing significance. Legal Aid provides a critical safety net for the community by serving thousands of economically needy residents in Collier County.
